Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using Plan Track Eat ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

Plan Track Eat is a personal meal-planning and nutrition-tracking application provided by James Rendall ("we", "us"). The App offers weekly meal planning, recipe storage, macro tracking, shopping lists, and AI-assisted meal suggestions.

2. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free tier: Includes unlimited local meal planning, recipe saving, and up to 3 AI-assisted actions per calendar month.
• Pro subscription: £1.99/month or £14.99/year, unlocking unlimited AI actions and cloud sync.
• Free trial: 14 days. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple ID.
• Cancellation: Manage or cancel any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds.
• Price changes: Any future price changes will be notified via the App Store before taking effect.

3. AI & Nutrition Disclaimer

The App uses Google's Gemini AI to generate recipes, macro estimates, and meal suggestions. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your personal circumstances. Nutrition estimates are approximate and based on generalised ingredient data.

The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. If you have medical conditions, allergies, intolerances, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are managing a specific diet, consult a qualified healthcare professional before acting on anything the App suggests. Use of the App is at your own risk.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App;
• Use the App to break the law or harm others;
• Attempt to abuse the AI system, including prompt injection, excessive automated requests, or circumventing usage limits;
• Share, resell, or redistribute paid features or access keys.

5. Your Content

Meal plans, recipes, notes, and other content you create in the App belong to you. By default, this content is stored locally on your device. Pro users may enable cloud sync, in which case content is stored via Firebase (Google). You are responsible for backing up your own data.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, and branding, is the property of James Rendall and is protected by copyright. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the App, including loss of data, reliance on AI-generated content, or dietary outcomes. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
